The Birth of Venus

Catherine Lock, Art Restorer #1

Catherine Lock is having a very bad day. She’s being bullied at school, treated like a child at home and misunderstood by her martial arts teacher.

As a last resort she turns up on her Dad’s doorstep. As far as she’s concerned he’s just a boring art restorer - relentlessly applying cleaning fluids to age old masters. But in reality his method of art restoration is a lot more exciting. He works for a secret organisation that steals back, stolen works of art from the bad guys. And he wants her to be his apprentice!

But when Botticelli’s famous painting, The Birth of Venus, goes missing Catherine is told to stay on the sidelines. Fat chance. Especially when she knows who did it and everyone else is barking up the wrong tree.
